What you will learn

In the Master Data Science - Business Analytics program, you'll learn detailed methods for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive data analysis. This will enable you to evaluate and analyze the performance of companies across various sizes and industries. You will acquire profound skills in the areas of data mining, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. These skills will enable you to determine the likelihood of future developments on the markets and to steer your company safely and successfully into the future.

You will be able to answer questions about the reasons for these developments and derive well-founded recommendations for upcoming decisions. The Master in Data Science – Business Analytics enables you to simulate the results of different decisions and optimize business processes. In addition to the modules on data analysis, data management, artificial intelligence and machine learning, the Master in Data Science – Business Analytics includes the following core modules:

In the Marketing Analytics module, you will deal with the evaluation of marketing performance in order to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency and optimize the return on investment (ROI) of marketing activities. You will develop a strong understanding of the effects and interactions of different marketing activities and will be able to advise marketing experts appropriately on the development of markets and the use of marketing resources.

In the Financial Analytics module, you will analyze the specific financial processes, financial functions, and financial data of companies. You will be able to assess investments, create forecasts, determine strategic financial targets, and significantly improve the company's profitability.

In the People Analytics module, you will collect and evaluate HR data in conjunction with other company data. This provides you with valuable information on collaboration, satisfaction and potential areas for improvement and allows you to derive meaningful measures for improvement. You will deal in detail with all phases of founding a company, paying particular attention to financial, legal, and organizational aspects. Our requirements

  • Regular Track: 3-year Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS), min. 3.0 German GPA.
  • Fast Track: 3,5-year Bachelor’s degree (210 ECTS) and a 3.0 German GPA.
  • The degree should be in Computer Science, Information Systems, (Health) Economics or a similar area of studies and be issued by an accredited university.
  • Proof of English proficiency: IELTS 6.5. We accept: Academic IELTS, IELTS Indicator I TOEFL iBT I PTE I CAE/CPE/FCE I Duolingo
