Among the trending topics like Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Big Data, captivating our attention day by day and propelling the digital transformation forward. If you want to become a designer of this change, then study the master’s in Applied Computer Science with us and deal with the technologies and tools that move the world.
In the first two semesters, you will study cyber security, software development, software project management and databases in depth.
Additionally, you will enroll in modules for a specialization, and there are currently three specializations being offered.

- Usability Engineering and UX-Design
The modules on Cyber Security will equip you with the ability to develop and implement security strategies for businesses or provide consultation on such matters. Moreover, you will master the norms, standards, and technologies of applied security management. The modules on software development and databases will enable you to prepare, carry out, and follow up on challenging development projects. You will also be able to work with the latest programming languages and adeptly design and implement databases for various purposes. In the third semester, you will deepen your skills in software development and explore selected IT application areas such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Multiparadigm Programming. Additionally, you can choose between an internship or a research project. The fourth semester concludes the program with the master's thesis.

Our requirements
- Internationally recognized Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) or a German diploma in Computer Science/ Informatics, Applied Computer Science/Applied Informatics, Software Engineering, IT Management, or equivalent qualifications
- A good knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (Java/C++/Python, etc.) and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)
- English language proficiency: IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 80 (SRH TOEFL code: 7712), Duolingo Certificate 120, PTE Academic 58, or a comparable performance

India
From 1st of November 2022, applicants from India will be required to have their documents verified by the Academic Evaluation Centre New Delhi (APS-India) before applying for a visa. After successful verification you will receive a certificate which allows you to initiate the visa process. Please note that the verification process at APS-India is expected to take approximately 4 weeks. We recommend that you apply for the APS certificate at the same time as you apply to SRH University Heidelberg. For more information, go to the APS-India website.
The People’s Republic of China
The procedure of the Academic Evaluation Centre of the Cultural Section at the German Embassy in Bejing (Akademische Prüfstelle – APS) must have been successfully completed before you apply. The centre checks documents for authenticity and conducts interviews. The original APS certificate must be enclosed with the application documents. For more information, go to the APS website.
Please note that you don’t need to complete the APS procedure if you apply for our 3+1 programs.
Vietnam
The Academic Evaluation Centre of the German Embassy in Hanoi has been checking the university entrance qualifications of Vietnamese applicants since 2007. The procedure includes checking the submitted written documents as well as an interview with the applicant. Please include an authentic copy of the proof of successful completion of this process, namely the APS certificate, along with your application documents.
Your tuition fees
- Applicants from EEA countries: The cost is 750 € per month for full-time enrollment, along with a one-time registration fee of 750 €.
- Applicants from Non-EEA countries without a permanent residence permit are required to pay a tuition fee of 750 € per month, in addition to a one-time registration fee of 750 €.
They must also pay the tuition fees for one semester in advance. Subsequent semester payments are due six weeks before the end of the period of study covered by the payment. All payments must be made on a semester-by-semester basis.
